NEW YEAR, NEW CLAN!
…or is it? New, I mean. In a way, you could consider the Hecata are a new version of the original Cappadocian clan, one of the original thirteen that, centuries ago, was usurped or, rather, cannibalized by one of their own, Augustus Giovanni. Augustus and his family took control of the clan and strove to purge all other branches of the family tree. While they were not 100% succesful, the family managed to become THE clan, and even reached a pact with the Inner Circle of the Camarilla which keep them independent and non-hostile. Recent events (The Gehenna War, the Second Inquistion. the disappearance of their «founder» Augustus, and the looming end date of the Pact of 1528) have forced them to take stock of their forces, leading to…
THE FAMILY REUNION. In recent times, the Giovanni sent invitations to their mortal enemies, several bloodlines, those survivors of their purges, with the objective of ending that centuries old enemity and regroup into one new, stronger Clan. Uninvited, some other death-related minor bloodlines joined the reunion. So, similar on how Jurassic Parks recreated dinosaurs using frog DNA to complete the missing genetic info, the Hecata are born from the broken remains of the Cappadocian… and a little extra! The different factions still hate each other guts, but their war has now become less overt, so, business as usual!
